 In this exploratory presentation, art historian and filmmaker **Joseph Leo Koerner** considers productive intersections between the histories of art and dance on the paradigm of the Dance of Death. Multimedia at their historical origin, death dances mix sermon, image, dance, and music. They conjure an uncanny—and (perhaps) exemplary—borderland between motion and stasis in which performance and artwork are forced together.
