Journal of Art Criticism - Call for Papers

Date:

Friday, January 14, 2022 (All day)

The Journal of Art Criticism is dedicated to publishing art criticism and visual art by students from across undergraduate institutions. Peer-reviewed and printed annually, the journal’s mission is to create inter-campus dialogues and facilitate contemporary art coverage by emerging critics.

Their call for submissions for the 2022 edition of the journal is now open, which will be organized around the theme temperature. They are looking to publish writing about contemporary art/new media and original artwork that engage with this theme in any way. The deadline for submissions is January 14th, 2022, and the journal will be printed at the end of the spring semester.

JAC offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to have their writing and artwork published in print. Currently, JAC is stocked at McNally Jackson and Printed Matter, and is collected by the MoMA Library and Barnard Library. The journal also offers students the chance to work through multiple rounds of edits on their written work.

For details on how to submit, please see the JAC website.
