With the generous support of the Department, of History of Art & Architecture, the graduate student lecture series committee is excited to announce that on **December 9 at 6:00 p.m. in the Lower Lecture Hall, 485 Broadway**, Professor Nicola Suthor will present her newest project, 'Macchia as Memory Function: Thought Processes in Renaissance Sketches.'

This is the first event in this year's *New Directions in Art History: Lectures in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture.* The purpose of this lecture series is to bring important new scholarship to the attention of the HAA community and give graduate students a chance to engage with innovative scholars in formal and informal conversations on campus.

We are also hosting a small dinner after the lecture for students who are interested in speaking with Professor Suthor. If you would like to attend, please email <sarahmallory@g.harvard.edu>. Space is very limited, so requests will be considered in order of receipt.
