Between 1994 and 2016, several landscape mural paintings from the late Tang Dynasty were unearthed from Tang tombs. These discoveries, particularly the 2017 excavation of **Su Xiaobin's tomb in Xi’an**, provide critical insights into the early development of Tang landscape painting. Professor He will discuss these archaeological findings and explore how they reshape our understanding of the *transformation of landscapes* 山水之變 during the Tang period.
