DESCRIPTION:<p>	<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="aaeda493-80fb-4f26-aa6f-ac332b5dcd83" data-align="left" alt="verity_event" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media><strong>Simon Verity</strong> was for many years Director of carving on the West Portal of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York.  His work has been commissioned by the Prince of Wales, Elton John, the American Academy in Rome, and is in collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum and Westminster Abbey, among many others.  He employs traditional carving tools. </p><p>	<em><span style="color:#000080;">Lecture and Demonstration (in relation to HAA 58m, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo), but open to all.</span></em></p><p>	<span style="color:#696969;">Co-sponsored by the Office of the Arts, the Elson Family Arts Initiative Fund and the Department of the History of Art and Architecture</span></p>
