She is Allen Whitehill Clowes Professor of Fine Arts and Professor of African and African American Studies at Harvard University. Her most recent book, Picasso’s Demoiselles: The True Origins of a Modern Art Masterpiece (Duke University Press, 2019) was the finalist for the 2020 Prose Prize in Art History and Criticism and winner of the 2020 Robert Motherwell Book Award.</p>
