Bay ByrneSim researches popular prints, photomontage, and graphic design in the 1930s and 1940s, focusing on transnational political organizations. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2015 with a double major in art history and history modified with German. She spent a year working at Rauner Special Collections Library, then researched John Heartfield's exile experiences in Germany, England, and the Czech Republic, before starting at Harvard.
