Prof. Jinah Kim hosts the 18th ACSAA ( American Council for Southern Asian Art) biennial symposium, October 12-15, 2017

American Council of Southern Asian Art (ACSAA)’s 18th biennial symposium (October 12-15, 2017, MFA & Harvard, http://southasiainstitute.harvard.edu/acsaa2017/ ) celebrates the centennial of the arrival of Ananda K. Coomaraswamy at MFA as the first Indian art curator in North America, which set in motion the study and collecting of South Asian art in the region.The symposium will start with an opening round table honoring a more recent figure to make a major impact on the study of South Asian art, late Professor Pramod Chandra, George P. Bickford Professor of Indian and South Asian Art, Emeritus, of Harvard University who passed away in March 2016. 

ACSAA (https://acsaa.us) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the study and awareness of the art of South and Southeast Asia and the Himalayan regions.
