[Zoom Webinar] Introduction to the Mapping Color in History project
Date and Time
Location
Mapping Color in History [MCH] is a digital platform that compiles pigment analysis data from
existing and on-going research on scientific analysis of pigments with a capacity to add new
data through collaboration with research centers that are engaged in pigments analysis in Asian
painting and put them in a historical perspective. As an NEH-funded digital humanities project,
the pilot pigment database is now available for open access. In this webinar, the project’s
principal director will introduce the project’s team, history, database’s structure, types of data,
and some of the tools available on the MCH site with a few hands-on activities during the
webinar followed by a Q&A session.
The event is free and open to the public but pre-registration is required. Please register here.
