Nuri Bhuiyan (HAA Class of '22) at JG Neukomm Architecture
Congratulations to Nuri Bhuiyan, HAA Class of ’22, who recently joined the architectural firm @JGNeukomm_Architecture. “I've really enjoyed my time here, I think because of the combination of interests that seems to drive the firm. The studio draws immensely from the world of the client and the history of the context in every design decision, and we often explore the set of experiential qualities, economic forces, and visual precedents underpinning our work, from architectural projects to our marketing and branding. This approach resonates with my time in HAA, specifically the Architecture - Design track, in the way my classes and studios were deeply steeped in a study of humanities and culture.”
In addition, Nuri recently participated in the @NYCxDesign, an annual citywide week of design programming featuring hundreds of events from exhibits and trade shows to talks and tours. “The festival presents many contrasts with how I would build my knowledge while immersed in the collegiate atmosphere at Harvard. It is interesting to see what aspects of design are elevated in the industry and in a locale such as New York, and what is perhaps suppressed, and it shows just how many layers there are to the field as a whole.”
