Minkang Park

Minkang Park Portrait

Minkang conducts research on two subjects in Japanese Buddhist painting. One focuses on the concept of scale and its visual and religious implications, with a particular emphasis on Japanese nirvāa paintings. The other is the cultural and artistic exchanges between Japan and Korea, especially concerning Goryeo Buddhist paintings.

Prior to attending Harvard, Minkang received both her B.A. and M.A. at Ewha Womans University with a major in art history. She also gained professional experience at the Samsung Foundation of Culture, including the Leeum Museum of Art and the Hoam Museum, where she participated in various curatorial and research projects.
