Nolan Boomer

Architecture

Nolan studies the modern built environment, media, and cultural exchange across the Western Hemisphere. Their work looks at popular architecture through cultural studies and historical materialist lenses. They received a B.A. in English at Oberlin College and an M.S. in architectural history at UC Berkeley. They are committed to creating public scholarship on art and architecture by publishing in forums beyond academic outlets. Their work has been supported by fellowships from Fulbright-García Robles, the Graham Foundation, and the Somerville Arts Council.
