Rachel Burke is a PhD student studying American art and visual culture, with a focus on representational legacies inherited from the 18thand 19thcenturies. During her time at the Williams College/ Clark Art Institute Graduate Program in the History of Art, from which she received her MA in 2018, Rachel examined abolitionist visual culture in both America and across the Atlantic. She also holds a BA from Columbia University and in her free time enjoys hiking and graphic design.
