Paid Summer Internship Opportunity at List Center

"The MIT List Visual Arts Center is partnering with Studio Institute on a paid summer curatorial internship (June 11--August 15, 2021). As we will still be working remotely during this time, the internship will also be remote.

The Curatorial Intern will work closely with the List Center’s Curator and Assistant Curator on a variety of projects relating to temporary exhibitions, web accessibility, and public art, with a particular focus on publications related to List Center exhibitions. The internship is open to rising juniors or seniors studying in the Boston area who have a demonstrated financial need. (Specifically, they must have an Expected Family Contribution of $5000 or less - this is on the FAFSA form.)

We’re excited about applicants who have a demonstrated knowledge of and interest in contemporary art, as well as an interests best practices for web-accessibility, and in engaging the challenges, and difficult questions, that art institutions are facing amidst the global pandemic and current political moment. Research skills and attention to detail are important. Excellent writing skills are a plus.

This internship pays $15/hr for 28 hours per week over 9 weeks. In addition, interns receive a $500 for completing Arts Intern educational programming.
