Experience the vibrancy of Shanghai with the Harvard Summer Program, a six-week journey into China's economic powerhouse. This program counts as two semester-long courses (4 credits each) of degree credit. Open to both Harvard and non-Harvard college students, this program explores Shanghai's cultural history and East Asian economic development. Courses include "Shanghai: A Cultural History" and "East Asian Development Models." Delve into the city's layers through seminars, excursions, and field research, gaining insight into its dynamic evolution. Live in an on-campus hotel in a distinguished Chinese academic institution, immersing yourself in intellectual exploration. Applications will be open in early December and due on January 25, 2024. Embark on a transformative journey with the Harvard China Student Internship Program (HCSIP), an eight-week immersive experience placing Harvard undergraduates in corporations, NGOs, and multinational companies across Greater China.
