Thomas Cummins awarded Katherine Singer Kovacs Prize

Thomas Cummins and Joanne Rappaport (Georgetown University) were awarded the 2012 MLA Katherine Singer Kovacs Prize for their book Beyond the Lettered City: Indigenous Literacies in the Andes, published by Duke University Press.

John Rosenfield receives Charles Lang Freer Medal

April 12, 2012

Art historian John Max Rosenfield received this year’s Charles Lang Freer Medal in recognition of his distinguished contributions to the field of Asian art history. Rosenfield, the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Professor of East Asian Art, Emeritus, at Harvard University, became the thirteenth recipient of the award on April 12, 2012.
