Daria studies material culture of the medieval period. She is primarily interested in artefacts, primarily but not exclusively medieval manuscripts, in which word and image remain deeply imbricated within one another. Her research focuses on objects that investigate issues of language, the vernacular, and the Word as flesh. She holds a B.A. in History of Art and Architecture from Harvard.
